Dream Pedalboard

So after getting a massive GAS attack  from watching all these effects pedal videos from ProGuitarShop and whatnot, I was wondering what some thoughts on a custom pedal board would be. Basically, if you could have any pedal of your choice on your dream pedal board, what would they be? However, here's the catch: No pedal can have a standard price (without tax, that is) of over $200. Here's my template. And if you don't think you would need 1, 2 or maybe 5 of the pedals, then it's your deal. Also, someone has probably already done this thread, but I'm too lazy to check.

Anyways, here's your standard template.
Tuner:
Wah:
Comp:
OD/Dist:
EQ/Tone Shaping:
Pitch/Whammy/Octaver:
Filter:
Chorus:
Phaser:
Flanger:
Delay:
Reverb:

Custom Super Group?

So, I've seen a lot of skilled and experienced players around on this site in the last two or so months that I've been on here. Seeing all these players' different interests and experiences in their music has made me curious as to see what other would think of this question, if anything at all.

Now to the question. Maybe someone else has already posted this, but I'm not willing to go back however far in the forum history to check. Anyways, if you could have any of your favorite musicians (dead OR alive) all united, in their prime that is, to jam in a single band (fantasy super group, if you will), who would you choose to play in which spots and why? Here's the essential format. And you don't need every thing. Just follow what you think are the basic essentials of your group. The following is just a basic template.

Vocals (or Vocalist and Instrumentalist)
Guitar 1
Guitar 2 (Remove if your vocalist is on guitar)
Bass (Remove if your vocalist in on bass)
Drums (Remove if your vocalist is on drums)
Keyboards (Remove if your vocalist is on the keys)

Also note that the band should follow a certain genre. If the band is supposed to follow a heavy metal theme for example, then you probably wouldn't see Buddy Guy or Eric Clapton playing in it.

Win an American Special Prototype Guitar

With timeless looks, world renowned tone and rock-solid U.S. guitar building skill, American Special guitars are built by the people, for the people. They feature Fender’s bestselling Texas Special pickups for tone that sings and snarls, tough and beautiful gloss finishes and 22-fret satin-back necks for effortlessly smooth sliding.
[img:bf4c4384a6]http://www.guitarsite.com/news/images/other/AmericanGiveawaySpecial.jpg[/img:bf4c4384a6][/align:bf4c4384a6]
Three U.S. grand-prize winners will each receive one of three American Special prototype guitars; an American Special Stratocaster, American Special Stratocaster HSS or American Special Telecaster.

These guitars are actual prototypes for each of the three American Special series instruments. They’re killer and they’re well broken in, having been poked, prodded and likewise roughed up pretty good in the test-pilot phase, sent to photo shoots and dragged off to showcases (the fact that they bear the bumps, bruises and scars to prove it only makes them even cooler, though).

Slash Calls Off Osbourne Single Release

Slash has axed plans to release his collaboration with Ozzy Osbourne as the first single from his solo album - to avoid clashing with the Prince Of Darkness' new material.

The Velvet Revolver guitarist recruited a number of stars, including Fergie and Kid Rock, to lend their vocals to his first solo effort, Slash, and had picked Crucify The Dead, a track with Osbourne, as his debut release.

But he's now promoting By The Sword, sung by Wolfmother's Andrew Stockdale, since Osbourne is planning to put out his own solo disc in June.

And he admits the star-studded collection is already proving problematic.

Slash tells the Pulse of Radio, "The problem with this record is, because I do have all guest singers, you run the risk of, you know, getting singles rights and interfering with the release of other people's records. So that's really what the issue was, is making sure that whatever single I was using wasn't sort of stepping on the toes of that artist's own record. And Ozzy's got a new record coming out."

Amps

I think Behringer and Bugera are hit and miss if you get a bad one it is bad. If you get a good one you have a winner. I have had 3 behringer pedals for about 4 years. I have freinds that had boss, ect and they have had to replace them.
I feel if everything by them was that bad they would be out of business.
Hope my amp is a good one because these amps have incredible tone.
I am sure some people will upgrade some of the componets inside and have an awesome amp for less then the big names. Again this amp has incredible tone.
Thanks

We're moving on, although each day I still think of him.
I tore down the dog house on Saturday. :(
Even the squirrels he used to chase seem to be looking for him still.
Our big old tom cat seems a bit lost without him too.

Thanks for the good thoughts guys.

GT-10 users try this out!

For a long time I ran my Boss GT-10 straight into the amps effects return. I recently fooled around with a bit and I found out that the 4 Cable Method is an awsome way to use it. Sounds amazing here's how:

With the 4 cable method (4cm) you can connect your Boss GT-8 /GT-10 to your guitar amp, that you can use the preamp of your guitar amp. This is especially usefull when using a good sounding tube preamp, because then you can still use it. Another advantage of the 4 cable method is that you can switch between your built-in tube preamp and the preamp models of your Boss GT-10 / GT-8. The basic requirement for the 4 cable method is that your guitar amp has an effects loop.

Wiring
1.Wire: Guitar into the input of the Boss GT-10
2.Wire: Effects loop send of the Boss GT-10 into the input of your guitar amp
3.Wire: Effects loop send of the guitar amp to the effect loop return of the Boss GT-10
4.Wire: Boss GT-10 output into the effects loop return of the guitar amp
Programming of the patch
1.Preamp effect off
2.External loop on
or
1.Preamp effect on
2.External Loop off

In the first case you will use the built-in preamp of your guitar amp. Therefore the preamp model of the Boss GT-10 is switched off . In the second case the external loop is switched off (you don't use the preamp of your amp) and the preamp model of the Boss GT-10 is used.

Keith Richards Hints Rolling Stones May Record In 2010

The Rolling Stones' Keith Richards has revealed the band may enter the studio at some point in 2010.

During an interview, the guitarist stated no plans were official but the group could start recording new material later in the year.

"There's no definite plans, but I can't see any of them stopping," he said. "I wouldn't be surprised if we did some recording later this year."

With new recordings circling the air, Richards also discussed touring plans and noted that The Rolling Stones may try to alter their usual touring style and maybe even choose playing smaller venues than the larger locations they are currently used to.

"Maybe we'll search for a different way for the Stones to go back on the road, maybe not the football stadiums anymore," he said. "Maybe something different. You can't go around there in lemon-yellow tights forever."

The band is currently set to release a reissued version of their 1972 record Exile On Main Street on May 17 with 10 previously unreleased tracks. The last studio album The Rolling Stones released was A Bigger Bang in 2005 which received several four-star reviews.
