I use AKG K240's. Had em a long time, they were studio standards at one time. pretty flat response.Love mine as well.  |

How often do you replace tubes?
Depends on how hard you push the amp. For new production power tubes they usually get replaced once a year. ... |

| Yes the 5AR4 is the rectifier tube. Just get a new one. |

| That's the rectifier tube and I'm shocked it blew. Rectifier tubes usually last longer then humans do, and virtually never go bad or have problems. But no you don't gotta replace them all, just repl ... |
